My Rite Aid Deals

I scored BIG time at Rite Aid. My total out of pocket was $3.43. I had coupons for everything I used, and I used my +Up Rewards from last week. I also left with $5 +Up for my next purchase! I broke this up into 3 transactions, so I could use my +Up Rewards. (BTW I went back to the same Rite Aid as last week, and the cashier apologized for her behavior from last week, and she was very pleasant.)
5 Bottle of Purex Detergent
2 Huggies Little Movers
2 Huuggies Little Swimmers
1 U Kotex Tampons
1 U Kotex Pads
2 Cologate 360 Toothbrush
2 Ziploc Bags
2 Finish Dishwasher Tablets
1 Chocolate Peeps (Easter stuff was 90% off!)
1 Carefree sample with a 55 cents coupon!

So I have a question about Rite Aid up rewards. Say I wanted to get the $5 up reward by buying $20 of little swimmers but wanted to split them into 2 different transactions. Can I do that and still get my $5 up reward? Will it just track it on my wellness card and once I've bought $20 worth it will then print off the $5 up reward?

Great questions! Unfortunately, the answer is no. You must buy it all on one transaction in order to get the +Up Rewards. The Huggies/Kotex deal has a max of 3 deals per Wellness Card, so your Wellness Card tracks to make sure you don't get more than 3 of the +Up Rewards from that deal. Does that make sense?
You can "roll" the $5 +Up Rewards to buy the next one. I did that. I used the $5+Up from my first transaction (Huggies) to help pay for my 2nd transaction (Little Swimmers and U Kotex).

Is that always the case with up rewards, that it all has to be in the same transaction or is it case by case? For example the weekend warrior up reward?

Yes. You have to spend $25 on Motrin, Aleve, Exedrin, Precise or Bengay in one transaction to get $10+Up. $25 has to be your subtotal before coupons...then you use coupons to pull that total way down. FYI, That deal allows 2 per Wellness Card and expires June 25.

No problem. I am happy to help!

I really need you to take me to rite aid!

Amy

You do not have to spend it all in one transaction. RA recently starting tracking deals at the end of your receipt!

I stand corrected. Thanks Amy. I looked it up, and asked the Savvy Shopper. I was going off what my cashier told me...this is great to know. I asked the Savvy Shopper, and this was her reply: Yes - that is true, but only on total purchase +Up Rewards, meaning spend $25 and get a $10 up reward. If it's a buy 2 get $3.00 you have to buy them together. @Mely, sorry!
