My Rite Aid Deals

I scored BIG time at Rite Aid. My total out of pocket was $3.43. I had coupons for everything I used, and I used my +Up Rewards from last week. I also left with $5 +Up for my next purchase! I broke this up into 3 transactions, so I could use my +Up Rewards. (BTW I went back to the same Rite Aid as last week, and the cashier apologized for her behavior from last week, and she was very pleasant.)

Rite Aid 101

If I had to pick one pharmacy store to start with, it would be Rite Aid.  I personally find their "system" the easiest to understand.  Here is My Coupon Habit's Rite Aid 101 guide.  As always please feel free to ask questions!

Rite Aid 101

* With any store it is vital you print their coupon policy and carry it with you in your binder.  I recommend you read it thoroughly, so you can be familiar with it.  Don't forget coupon policies do change, and I will post when they do.  Rite Aid coupon policy is found here.

* Wellness+ Program
This is your store card (just like a grocery store bonus card).  You use this to get the sale prices and +Up Rewards.  There is a point system which you can learn more about here.

*+Up Rewards 
Check the ad to see which products will give you +Up Rewards.  They will print on the bottom of your receipt.  You use these as store cash.  Your subtotal must equal or be greater than the value of your +Up Rewards.  You may "roll" +Up Rewards to buy the same product!

* Video Values 
You watch videos.  After you watch the videos, you can print coupons.  These coupons do say manufacturer at the top; however, the manufacturer is Rite Aid.  You may combine a "normal" manufacture coupon with the Video Values coupons. I am a HUGE fan of these.  Normally there is always at least $2 free to spend on anything!  These Video Values normally always correspond with the sales for the month!  Watch them here.


*Single Check Rebates (SCR)
Single Check Rebates are an online rebate system.  These checks can be used again at the store, or you may cash them. The rebates are limited to one per item, per customer.

* In-Ad Coupons
These are found in the Rite Aid ad that comes in the newspaper on Sunday.  These coupons do say manufacturer...but again these are just like the Video Value Coupons...the manufacturer is Rite Aid.  You may stack these with a manufacturer's coupon for even more savings.

Weekly Pharmacy Trip

My total at Wags was 88 cents!

My total at Rite Aid was $4.76 (mostly I paid for tax). Plus, I have $14 off my next purchase! I used several Up Rewards and coupons on this purchase.

Weekly Pharmacy Trips

Here is my weekly trip totals.

Walgreens total is $19.03 + $10 Rebate= $9.03. I did this on Friends and Family day. (The manager checked me out, and he reassured me that the coupon was okay to use on diapers and wipes.)

Rite Aid grand total is $2.05 + I still have $1.49 in Up Rewards!

Target total is $1.48.

3.15.2011 Rite Aid

Rite Aid has killer deals on cleaners and makeup. I went to 3 different Rite Aid (Yes, I am crazy), and they were sold old of a several of the deals I wanted, so my total was higher than I wanted...but don't worry I did get rain checks. My total was $14.50, but I have $8 in Up Rewards.

Price Matching

I am a huge fan of price matching. This week Rite Aid and Smiths had a few great deals, but they were sold out. (I did get rain checks, but some things I wanted now.) I just returned from a trip to Walmart where I did price matching...plus I used my coupons.
All of this for 8 cents! (Walmart's new coupon policy lets you use coupons that are over the price, so that overage paid for most of my taxes...OH SNAP!)

I didn't price match this, but it was a great deal! These tuna packets were 75 cents a piece. I used my Red Plum coupons which came in the mail with the grocery sales on Wednesday. I paid $1.50 for 5 packs of tuna. Nice!

Rain Checks

Behold the power of rain checks!  I LOVE rain checks.
I was talking to my friend about different couponing deals this week.  She explained she gets frustrated bc the drug stores never have the items she plans on buying.  I introduced her to rain checks!
Example:  Last week at Rite Aid, Johnson and Johnson baby items were on sale for $2.99 plus you received $2 in Up Rewards.  I had a $1 off coupon.  I was stoked about getting these items for FREE.  Rite Aid sold out of them by Monday morning.  No problem.  I got several rain checks.  Even better they automatically take off the Up Rewards, so (when the products are back in stock) I will be buying several of them for NEGATIVE 1 ¢.
Don't be discouraged if your sale items are gone...get a rain check!
